[00:00:00] Welcome to the average nineties GAL podcast. Join me as I share my own journeys through life, how I got and continue to get through them, as well as real stories from real people in this crazy world. Let's get through it together.
Hello and welcome to the podcast. I hope you are doing well. I know it has been a while since I have recorded and published an episode, so thank you for being here and listening. I have been doing a lot of traveling and just. Doing all the things. So thank you for your patience for this new episode. It is one that I've actually wanted to do for a little while, ever since [00:01:00] the Chinese New Year, which is the year of the fire horse, which I think is an invitation for us to just, let's fucking go.
I, you know, it says it all. The fire horse. Let's just go forward, set ourselves on fire and move forward in our lives. I love that for myself, but for all of us collectively and personally, I really felt. Feel as if I have been just, you know, stewing in the waters of my life and everything that I've been thinking and feeling and wanting to do.
And so I'm using this as a time and an invitation for a reset and a let's fucking go in this year. So I love the fire horse thought [00:02:00] and what it all means. You can obviously look it up what it all means, but even though I don't celebrate the Chinese New Year, I do think there are so many things about having the new year happen in February and the fact that many cultures and religions around the world celebrate.
In February and March for the coming of spring and the new year instead of January 1st. So I am just inviting you to join me to use this time as a reset and as the beginning of the new year, the beginning of spring. And if you really need it the way I do, to just say, okay, no, it didn't have to be January 1st.
It's now, let's just start it now. Spring is about to happen. I'm actually looking outside my [00:03:00] window and it is an absolutely gorgeous, perfect morning, and it's just giving me life and I want to spring clean and reset everything as well as. This is something I spoke about in prev in a previous episode, but you know how to go all in.
I was ready to go all in when I, when I recorded that episode, but then I went into a whole going inward, very, like all the feels and all the thoughts, and now I, I think I am more ready now to go all in. Bring it all out, and I don't know if you're feeling that way as well. So if you are, I invite you to go into this reset with me and think of this as a new year, as a time [00:04:00] to begin again, to really put ourselves out there, to move forward and whatever that means for you.
What you need to possibly do to do that as well, and to do that with me. So some of the things that I have written down, and if you want to pause this after each question and journal through it like I have or speak it into your notes app. However, journaling or. Thinking through any prompts works for you.
I invite you to do that, but I did want to share what I wrote down for myself and what I journaled through for myself. That has really helped me just have a jumping off point and to feel through everything that I've been thinking and feeling, and you know what I want to [00:05:00] do with this year. For the future.
I am not a big future person. I don't do the whole five years from now, 10 years from now, that just does not work for me. If you are that kind of person, that's wonderful. You can come up with a new five year plan, a 10 year plan, a one year plan. It doesn't matter who, who cares. It's whatever works for you.
And I'm a full firm believer in that. That the fact that what people say works for them, Hey, if it works for you, that's great, but if you know yourself well enough to know that that doesn't work for you, then check it in the fuck it bucket and do whatever works for you. Okay, so the first in this season, I think, and this reset, I just like to call it, keep saying a reset and [00:06:00] decide that this is our new year and it's time to spring clean our space, but also spring clean our mind and our emotions and our bodies.
That is another. Uh, part that I am really going to focus on even more is what I put in my body and how I move my body because it's fully connected to my brain and everything else that I do in my life. So when I'm speaking to all of these prompts, it really is speaking to absolutely everything in our lives and in all of the different buckets of our life.
How you can think through these prompts. So the first one is, what am I still holding onto? That is already done.
The second is where do I need to soften my grip [00:07:00] and where do I need to let go
Next is. What limiting beliefs or thought patterns have run its course and how can I give space to create new ones, new thought patterns, new beliefs that are no longer limiting? The next prompt is name daily practices that you will begin to reset or to let go. Name what you can do to clear your space and mind to make room for the new.
So I hope you will join me in using this time of year or whenever you hear this. If this speaks to you and it's a different time of [00:08:00] year, it doesn't matter whenever you hear this. If this speaks to you and you feel like you really do need. To think through these prompts or whatever is coming to you, what your gut is telling you that you really need to have a restart, and if that's in every part of your life or one part of your life, or you just start in one because it's too overwhelming to think of all of them.
I totally get that. Trust me. Sometimes it's just like, wait, wait. I am trying to do. Way too much and restart way too many things at one time. I'm just going to pick my health. I'm just gonna pick my, you know, mental health. I'm just going to pick my career or relationships or, you know, my actual physical space.
I've spoken about this before, but if you are anything like [00:09:00] me, if your physical space does not match. What you want to happen for yourself, then you are already not starting in the right place. I really truly believe that our physical space, including our cars, I've mentioned this before as well, really has an impact on whether or not we are able to move forward and change something that we wanna change in our lives and within ourselves.
So. I hope that is helpful to you and I promise that I will be publishing more episodes coming up, and I thank you for your patience and I hope that you are doing well and that you have an amazing, amazing day. Thank you so much as always for being here. Bye-bye.
